After falling in love with someone outside of me, I started to create flower people portraits as a way to embody self love. Although, they were not my person, I am still grateful for the heart-chakra activation. I think self-love comes in many forms. As an artist, I've always been my most convenient model so I've done many portraits, specifically of transformation, so it was nice to create self portraits that included me and nature as one and show beauty through that. I didn't intend to make a coloring book, but after no one bought my portraits, I thought I'd take the same images and redesign them in a different format. I personally hate most adult coloring books because they're way too overstimulating. I feel there's too many small parts to color and rather than relieve stress, it causes me more stress because I can't figure out how to keep up with all the parts and colors. This coloring book is simplified, best for having the ability to keep a simple color palette and focus more on shading and mixing colors as opposed to having a million tiny parts to color.
